يهدف مهرجان الكويت الدولي للمونودراما، في دورته الثامنة، إلى أن يكون منصة عالمية تجمع الفنانين والمسرحيين والنقاد من مختلف أنحاء العالم. يركز المهرجان على إبراز جماليات فن الأداء المسرحي الفردي، والمساهمة في إثراء الحركة الفنية وتعميق التواصل الثقافي بين الشعوب.

أكد رئيس ومؤسس المهرجان، جمال إبراهيم اللهو، أن المهرجان لم يكن مجرد عروض مسرحية، بل هو "لقاء أرواح عاشقة للفن وذكريات تراكمت عبر السنوات تحكي قصة الوفاء للمسرح، والحلم، والإصرار على الاستمرار رغم كل الصعاب". وأشار إلى حرص إدارة المهرجان على التجديد في الأفكار والعروض، حيث قدّمت هذه الدورة أعمالاً من دول أجنبية مثل جنوب أفريقيا وإسبانيا.

The festival’s founder and president, Jamal Ibrahim Al-Lahou, emphasized that the festival is more than a series of performances — it is “a meeting of souls in love with art, and memories accumulated over the years that tell a story of loyalty to theatre, of dreams, and of perseverance despite all challenges.” He also highlighted the festival’s commitment to innovation, noting that this edition features international works from countries such as South Africa and Spain.
